Brera Design District<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has presented some novelties for this year\u2019s edition of\u00a0Milan Design Week<\/strong><\/em>. This year Brera will be having a theme that will serve as a hymn to sustainability under the motto \u201cDesign Your Life\u201d. Today, we\u2019re checking the novelties on Brera Design District<\/strong><\/em> that you simply can\u2019t miss if you\u2019re in Milan for the incredible Milan Design Week!<\/p>\n

It just so happens that it\u2019s the 10th anniversary of the district\u2019s activities during Milan Design Week. One of the main highlights of the initiatives to come is the fact that the events in Brera will start one day earlier than the rest of the activities in the city.\u00a0Some of the presentations will also be anticipated at the end of the previous week, with the purpose of coinciding with\u00a0MiArt Milano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Brera<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme, \u201cDesign Your\u00a0Life<\/em>\u201d, was chosen to serve as \u201can invitation to the designers to work more on the sustainable impact of their work<\/em>\u201d, in the words of the main organizers of the event. The approach this year towards Milan Design Week takes a step back from the idea of viewing design as a\u00a0concept in other fields opting for it as filter sustainability\u00a0as well as a political and social act.<\/p>\n

\"Brera<\/p>\n

10 ambassadors have been chosen to represent the district\u00a0during Milan Design Week, all of whom are linked with some relevant keywords related to the event\u2019s main theme. One of them is\u00a0Mario Cucinella<\/strong>\u00a0with the main theme and keyword\u00a0Design your Future<\/em>, inviting all of the participants to rethink a new relationship with nature.\u00a0There\u2019s also,\u00a0Aldo Cibic<\/strong>\u00a0with the keyword\u00a0Design your Memories<\/em>, as well as the brothers\u00a0Daniel and Markus Freitag<\/strong>, who have been great pioneers of circular design. It\u2019s said the design duo will present a project based on the keyword\u00a0Design your Ideas<\/em>, however, further details\u00a0have yet\u00a0to be released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year\u2019s edition of\u00a0Brera Design District\u00a0<\/strong>had significative\u00a0positive results with\u00a0almost 400 exhibitors and more than 200 events during Milan Design Week 2018.\u00a0Brera Design District for 2019<\/strong>\u00a0wants to reconfirm its role as a design player, promising an even richer program of events, special projects, and cultural initiatives.<\/p>\n
