Alessandro Mendini<\/h4>\n

Famed for designs that include the iconic\u00a0Proust Armchair,<\/strong>\u00a0Mendini was one of those Legends who were at the front row of the radical design of the Italian Modernity movement that started in the\u00a01960\u2019s. He produced some of the most stunning projects, but at the backstage, he also\u00a0helped Italy\u2019s Editorial\/ Media business to grow to incredible new heights with his incredible inside\u00a0knowledge of\u00a0Design!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gio Ponti<\/h4>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

Alongside with Mendini,\u00a0 Gio Ponti was also part of the\u00a0Modernity Movement of the Italian Design<\/strong>! This two Italian design icons helped elevate\u00a0the\u00a0Design Industry\u00a0in this country and in Milano, and they both had a powerful contribution in the progressive transformation of this cultural hub into the top Design Capital\u00a0of the country and into one of the Design Capitals of Europe!<\/p>\n

Antonio Citterio<\/h4>\n

One of the top names of today\u2019s Italian Design is\u00a0Antonio Citterio.\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0Like all the design legends that inspired his youth, Citterio started his career in Milano and like his hero, Gio Ponti, Citterio started his Academic and Professional life as an Architect.\u00a0From 1987 to 1996, Citterio worked in association with Terry Dwan in\u00a0several amazing buildings in Europe and Japan, but after many years spent designing buildings, Citterio also decided to follow the footsteps\u00a0of Ponti and became a prominent\u00a0Furniture and Industrial Designers!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Achille Castiglioni<\/h4>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

Achille Castiglioni\u2014nicknamed Cici\u2014was a pioneer of Italian design and one of its most influential protagonists. The son of a prominent Milanese sculptor, Giannino Castiglioni, he started dedicating himself to design in 1938 at 20 years old.\u00a0During his 64-years-long career he worked with almost all of the most important Italian furniture companies including Alessi, Cassina, Danese, DePadova, Driade, Flexform, Flos, Kartell, Olivetti, Zanotta, etc.\u00a0Most of the products he designed are the outcome of real ingenuity, humanist culture, intelligent experimentation, technical expertise, aesthetic sensibility and, above all, they always accomplished their practical purpose.<\/p>\n
