When fifteen years ago British interior designer Tara Bernerd<\/span><\/a>\u00a0started the process of opening her firm, she probably would not have dreamt they would be working the projects she and her partners are landing nowadays. Notoriety comes with building your own proved method and, of course, a handful of hard work, making sure you create beautiful and unique interiors that will stand the test of time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tara Bernerd was looking for the challenge to \u201cdeliver the dream<\/em>\u201d to the ones that put their ideas and their blank spaces on her hands. Finding a way to achieve that, the interior designer decided to stay true to herself by mixing two very important components in order to create a basis DNA for each of her commissioned projects. While always thinking about each project on their own individual way \u2013 taking into account not only its location, but respecting the surroundings \u2013 the designer makes sure to put emphasis on the layout of the actual interior design. \u201cAnd the two combined form the DNA that is born from each project,<\/em>\u201d explains Tara Bernerd.<\/span><\/p>\n

T<\/span>he designer takes inspiration from the big industrial classics, such as Pierre Chareau\u2019s La Maison de Verre in Paris and the Katsura Imperial Villa in Kyoto.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

However, this is not the only way we get to differentiate Tara Bernerd & Partners\u2019 interiors from the others on the market. The most common feedback they get from their clients is related to their \u201cintelligent space-planning\u201d, but they are also known for the masculine elegance each of their projects exudes. So, how would Tara Bernerd describe her style? \u201cHandsome and warm with a sometimes industrial edge.<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

What about the future? Well, the interior design firm has also taken two individual hotel projects in LA, working with Thompson Hotels and SIXTY.\u00a0And not only are they working on big commercial projects now, but the Tara Bernerd team also hopes that more challenging projects like the ones eventually come their way.<\/span><\/p>\n
