June 26 – Design Excellence and Craftsmanship Heritage

After a small sunset and warm-up party on the 25th at Covet Valley, the first day will have the doors open at 11AM. During the morning, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a soft opening of the event, where several workshop exhibitions will be put on display for attendees to get a sense of the different arts and crafts that make the world of COVET Group and furniture design, overall.

Expert tip: make sure to take your time in each of the exhibitions during this part of the day, as the event won’t probably be as crowded as it will in the afternoon. Enjoy the extra time to meet the artisans and find out more about their crafts.

The afternoon will officially open the Luxury Design and Craftsmanship Summit second edition with an opening ceremony led by COVET Group’s CEO, Amândio Pereira, followed by two panels and open discussions on design and craftsmanship.

The first panel, A Dialogue Between Design and Artisanal Excellence, will welcome designers such Christian Haas and Emmanuel Babled into an open talk about the need to mix design and its artisanal heritage to create unique products. Moderated by Michelangelo Foundation’s Nicole Segundo, the panel kicks off at 3.45PM.

The panel starts at 4.45PM, after a small intermission.

Expert tip: don’t be afraid to ask questions and participate in the discussion that follows the panel. Remember that all guests are experts in their areas, and they will surely be able to shed a light on the burning questions that might be running through your mind.
