Famous for his cosmopolitan lifestyle and amazing eye to the latest design trends and ideas, veteran tastemaker Jason Basmajian has designed a residential project for himself that shows his unique taste! During his searching period, the designer was drawn to a New York-inspired loft-like feel building in Kentish Town.
Featuring some incredible industrial style amenities with bespoke furniture pieces, the new London apartment of Jason Basmajian also features a 24-hour doorman and a gym, which is something unusual in the city’s real estate culture. With three exposures, high ceilings, and oak flooring, it’s a loft space with a decidedly grown-up feel.
With some greeted with rows of industrial windows and an open floor plan, Jason Basmajian‘s London flat is a paradise for the mid-century style and industrial design lovers. The residential project, originally a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, was converted into a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment in order to have balanced proportions of social and private spaces.
Although his successful career turned around the high-fashion world, for a long time, Jason Basmajian wanted to bring together lifestyle, art, and design in one single idea, and this residential project was the perfect opportunity to do that. He worked as his own interior designer for this flat and has done other projects for family and friends.
“I want the balance between chic and elegant and comfortable and practical; my style is understated. I wanted to create warmth in an interior, I want you to want to be in it,” explained the renowned designer to the AD team. After doing such a great job with his own home decor, Jason Basmajian is currently working on a hotel project on coastal England.
