When in 2010 Experimental Group opened their first cocktail bar, they probably didn’t know seven years later they would be unveiling a whole new project in London, with a very 70’s boho chic vibe. So, three bars, one members-only club, and their Grand Pigalle Hotel in Paris, the group was ready to present to the world their Henrietta Hotel in London. The trendy hotel quickly turned a quiet corner of Covent Garden into a hotspot for all types of design lovers, bloggers, and Instagrammers.

The hotel stretches across two four-story townhouses from the 19th century, and it comprises 18 rooms, one restaurant and, you’ve guessed it, a cocktail bar! The interior design was signed by Dorothée Meilichzon and her team, from the Parisian design firm Chzon, and with their unmistakable aesthetics, they were able to create a stunning 70’s inspired design for the trendy hotel.
In the rooms, we can see plaster ornaments and mirrored surfaces mixed with Chzon’s signature taste for the 70s. A few Pierre Paulin-inspired armchairs with brass lamps and terrazzo-patterned carpets framed by a white-marble skirting complete the look, creating a unique bohemian chic vibe in this exclusive hotel.
The headboards, another staple element of Chzon’s oeuvre, are a nod to the captivating geometries of celebrated Milanese entryways and are holstered with fabrics from Venetian powerhouse Rubelli.
A seductive palette of reds, blues and grays is used in four different schemes to differentiate the bedrooms.
The pastel-pink tone of the bathrooms creates a strong connection with the bedroom’s interiors. It also gives an almost ethereal sense to the bathroom, paired with the fountain-shaped countertops and the octagonal tiles in the floor. Everything was thought to create an exclusive, yet very bohemian look.
