“If you’re not familiar with Tom Dixon by name, you’re probably familiar with his designs. After all, he’s responsible for some of the most recognizable and artful lighting in the business, and this year at Salone, he’s upping his own ante with a line of portable Melt lamps, Puff lights, and Cone table and floor lamps that have interchangeable shades and bases, plus 265 (!!!) colorways of his cult-favorite Fat and Wingback chairs. What’s more, a collaboration between his Design Research Studio and Danish manufacturer Universal Robots results in a robot specially trained to switch the lamp shades and bases on-site, showing the endless possibilities for playful, truly one-of-a-kind interior design.” ELLE
