It was with a concept by Masquespacio that Valencia Lounge Hostel said hello to its new and improved interiors, just last year. By taking matters into their hands, interior design studio Masquespacio was able to combine three things you wouldn’t probably mix altogether at first sight: cheap, cheerful and refined. And if you were in need of a few bedroom color ideas, we believe this might be of help, because the whole hostel is built around color!
In one of the common areas, minimalist and cheerful furniture was used in contrast to the classic and geometric flooring. What used to be a neoclassical inspired lounge hostel, is nowadays one of the most stylish hospitality projects of Valencia!
Danish inspired furniture was used throughout the space. Masquespacio made sure to use a palette of bright colors, graphic patterns, and contemporary finishes. “We wanted guests to feel like they were staying in a home, but one that makes them dream, disconnect and live a new experience,” explained the studio’s creative director Ana Milena Hernández Palacios to Wallpaper* Magazine.
Navy blue chairs and cheery colors really do create a comfortable atmosphere, at the same time it brings the outdoor warm feeling inside.
Masquespacio gave each room its own identity. You can find “a Memphis-inspired roost to a soothing ombre berth, a surf-themed chamber, and other clever color plays.” All of the interior design studio’s interventions keep true to the period features of its Old Town location: “vintage cement tiles and plaster mold-adorned ceilings alike – while mix-and-match furniture adds to the unassuming feel.” in Wallpaper*
