Homeowners Laura Resen and her partner, Cloud Devine are indeed very lucky to be living in such a stylish and inspiring home. Being an interiors photographer, Resen stated that “it’s important that I arrange things so that there’s a dynamic quality to them—I don’t want anything to disappear.”
A lot of thought was put into each and every little detail in the modern country home. However, not so much as to create a mechanical and cold look. Instead, we get a warm and welcoming home decor with little surprises here and there.
Some of the original elements were kept during the renovation of this country house. This is more clear in the kitchen decor, as well as the dining area, where details like the beadboard and the plank ceilings can still be seen.
In the dining room, we can see how the modern country style was wonderfully incorporated with mid-century modern elements. We can clearly sense a mid-century vibe, but the country house feeling is still there.
The master bedroom is not ridiculously large, which makes room for a nice and cozy ambiance. Some mid-century pieces still make an appearance, as well as a lovely hat collection, which helps to bring character and personality to such an intimate space.
Last but not the least, there’s the backyard, where a nice surprise awaits… The couple decided to create a small private office where they can work with a lot of style. Still keeping the mid-century influences, they ended up with a minimalist, yet very cozy home office.
