1) MANDEVILLE CANYON
Against a backdrop of dark finishes and metal accents to bring the surrounding garden to the forefront, the interiors are designed for both relaxing and regaling. Our wood and metal shops built custom pieces—including a dining table, side tables, and a pool table—in a palette of solid woods and metals, including smoked oak, walnut, and natural and patinated bronze. Complementing the custom pieces are classic, comfortable furnishings, many dating from the 1960s.
2) CHELSEA APARTMENT
The Chelsea Apartment was an alteration of a 1,500-square-foot Manhattan apartment. The living room and bedroom are connected by a den with floor-to-ceiling pocket doors. Custom bleached walnut casework that extends from the living room to the bedroom is contrasted by a dramatic black-and-white kitchen with blackened oak casework and Calacatta Marble. Tall ceilings, soft white walls, and views of the Empire State Building create a backdrop for modern and luxurious furnishings that are understated and livable.
3) HARVEY HOUSE
The Harvey House, originally built by Buff & Hensman in 1969 for actor Laurence Harvey, was purchased by the client, for whom they restored another home in Beverly Hills. Their interiors department worked very closely with the client to select furnishings and art that simultaneously suit the home and reflect the client’s refined architectural sensibilities.
4) MASON ON MARIPOSA
The Studio provided interior architecture and interior design for the amenities at this LEED Gold-certified, pet-friendly, family-friendly, mixed-income development located at the base of Potrero Hill. Amenities include a co-working space, conference rooms, fitness centre, Sky Lounge, Rooftop Terrace, Mason Lounge, The Play House children’s playroom, and plentiful outdoor spaces.

7) VILLA AMSTERDAM
Located outside of the city centre on a large site, this home for a young family frames views of the garden, canal, and natural area beyond. Respectful of its midcentury residential neighbourhood, the largely opaque front and sides of the house provide privacy and a stark contrast to a back elevation of glass and steel.
