It was the world’s tallest building in the world in 1930, but 11 months later, the title was lost to Empire State Building, however is still the tallest brick building in the world with a steel framework.

When the Chrysler Building opened in 1930, there were mixed reviews regarding the building’s design, from being inane and unoriginal to being modernist and iconic.

Perceptions of the building have slowly evolved, and it is now seen as a paragon of the Art Deco architectural style.

In 2007, it was ranked ninth on the List of America’s Favorite Architecture by the American Institute of Architects, and nowadays the Chrysler is the sixth-tallest building in the city, tied with The New York Times Building.

Flatiron Building

The Flatiron Building, originally the Fuller Building, is a triangular steel-framed landmarked building, with 22 floors, which is considered to be a groundbreaking skyscraper.

It was one of the tallest buildings in the city at 20 floors high. The name of the building derives from its resemblance to a clothes iron.

When it’s construction ended, it was considered one the world’s tallest buildings, and the neighborhood was called Flatiron District due to it.

One World Trade Center

This building stands out not just because it’s the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and the sixth-tallest in the world, but also because it is more than an architectural gem: it is a memorial.

It is the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex.

The Empire State Building
