Lets just start laying down some facts. For starters, Sydney Architecture cannot be defined by one style only. A multitude of styles are embraced throughout the city, joining 200 year old architecture with a more modern style.

Sydney Opera House
Also known as the Theater of Sydney, Sydney Opera House is one of the most renowned entertainment building in the world.
Its construction began in 1959, by Jorn Utzon and it is located right in Sydney’s Bay. Despite the architect abandoned the project in 1966, its inauguration was on October, 1973.
This building has over 8 million visitors and brings more than 500 million euros in revenue, and it has a capacity to sit close to 3.000 people.
Sydney Tower
Built from the years 1975 and 1981, Sydney Tower is over 300 meters tall and is currently the 38th tallest tower in the world.
On the lower levels of the tower you will find not one, but two revolving restaurants and, on the higher levels, the watching zone, where you get the most incredible view of Sydney.
For almost 40 years now, Sydney Tower has remained one of the biggest mus-see points for tourists.
Queen Victoria Building
Architect George McRae first design this beautiful building , in the late 19th century (between 1893 and 1898, to be more precise), in the Business Center of Sydney.
The building has over 5.700 squared meters in area, since it is 30 meters wide and 190 meters in length.
It was first intended has a marketplace but, since then, it has been a government building and currently is a shopping center.
It’s renovation costed just shy of $50 million.
One Central Park
This building has a multitude of uses.
This building is a combination of two residential towers, plus a six-floor retail shopping center.
This is a quite new construction, since it was completed in 2012-2013.
This award-winning building has a total area of 6 hectares and it was designed in a joint venture between Foster and Partners and Sekisui House.
Museum of Contemporary Art
Established 27 years ago, in 1991, this museum’s only purpose it to expose the best that modern art has to offer.
Although a 27 year old building should still be in good shape today, back in 2010, it suffered a $58 million expansion and renovation.
This museum has approximately 1.5 million visitors per year.
