The Design Events To Attend This Spring That You Can’t Miss

This Spring is exciting and gives us several events about design, mostly design interiors around the world. These are the design fairs, festivals, showrooms worth traveling for. Let’s take a look for the following design events that happens in March and April.

Singapore Desing Week (4-17 March 2019)

At the Singapore Design Week this year, you can find out how design can transform businesses, empower communities, inspire our lives, and shape our futures. Now into its sixth edition, the Singapore Design Week brings together a collection of local and international design activities in Singapore. Organized by Dsg, the SDW is open to the design community, businesses, design students, public sector officers, and the general public.

Ad Design Show (21-24 March 2019)

The AD Design Show 2019 is coming to New York City for 4 days at 55th Street at 12th Avenue and it´s an event targeted to people who love the design. The show is divided into 8 different areas. From the Furnish, where you can find furniture, to a lounge area, where brands display their collection as a lounge and there’s even an Architectural Digest Apartment, which is an apartment decorated by selected designers. So youdon’t miss the 18th edition of this design show, where professionals from the area come together. You can expect to find only the best, from furniture to lighting, kitchens & bathroom, to building projects.

Salone del Mobile Milano (9-14 April 2019)

The Salone Internazionale del Mobile (once known as I Saloni) happens in Milan and is the global benchmark event for the furnishing and design sector. Basically, this event is a reference point for professionals in the design and furniture fair with the aim of creating top-quality products and is composed by different exhibitions spread over the various pavilions in Rho Fiera Milano.

ICFF (19-22 May 2019)

The ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) happens in the city who never sleeps (NYC) and the largest consumer home show featuring remodeling houses and interior designers for the furniture sector. This is an excellent event for real estate agencies to remodel their properties furniture and market them. The event allows visitors to connect and network with the topmost building, remodeling, and design professionals.

Design Shanghai (14-17 March 2019)

Design Shanghai is one of the world’s most prestigious international design events and Asia’s premier design event. It essentially combines five shows in one, with presentations on contemporary design, collectible design, classic and luxury design, kitchen and bathroom design, and workplace design. This event as some of the most recognized and established global design brands and emerging design talent from China and beyond.

Melbourne Design Week (14-24 March 2019)

This event is one of Australia’s most design-forward cities hosts more than 160 exhibitions, workshops, talks, and tours addressing topics such as new technology, the environment, and innovation. This year, the theme Design Experiments asks Melbourne Design Week participants to experiment with ideas, materials, places, and processes to respond to the central question “How can design shape the future?”. The program has been curated under five thematic pillars: reconnecting with Birrarung (Yarra River), the war on waste, material matters, possible futures, and inclusive cities.
