Thinking that bold and strong colors are only right for the Winter couldn’t be more of a misconception. More, and more, people are willing to try new things and break ancient and outdated concepts. And for this year Spring color report, Pantone presented us with a strong color palette that featured the most amazing Lapis Blue. So, not your typical Spring/Summer color… However, it can look absolutely stunning in your Summer home when used right.

Pretty much any color, when paired with golden shades, looks automatically more sophisticated. Not that this particular blue shade needed any of that. However, we absolutely love to see it mixed with marble and golden details, creating a more luxurious feeling of the mid-century era.
You can use Lapis Blue not only on your furniture but also on your walls and even your rugs! On the photo above we can see how it works beautifully mixed with tangerine tones, as well as hardwood flooring and the timeless golden details we mentioned before.
Again, looking great on the walls, Lapis Blue looks exceptionally stunning on framed walls. Also, many points for the use of green marble against the dark blue wall, which takes the interior design to the next level.
Finally, you can – and you should – definitely be bold enough to use this shade in your furniture. As you can see, it can turn an otherwise ordinary piece into a true statement decor element. In this case, we can see that Essential Home’s Mansfield armchair was covered with this rich blue shade and it totally works.
