Is Your Mid-Century Home Ready for Fall? Get Ready With Us!

Some easy tips on how to make your mid-century home feel cozier this Fall.

If we are being honest, Fall is just around the corner. The most nostalgic season of the year is upon us, and by now you should be starting to ask yourself if your mid-century home is ready to welcome the autumnal season. To make this happen you should start putting together some ideas now, and maybe even enjoy some of the last Summer Sales!

There are obviously some tips you can follow to get you through your checklist, and today we are giving you some of those tips.

Fall Colors

The first thing that will get you in the mood for Fall is, obviously, the right color palette. There are hundreds of assortments of Fall colors, but we’d rather stick with the Pantone Fall/Winter Color Palette. Filled with bold, fiery colors such as Chili Pepper red, Fruit Dove pink, and Orange Tiger, there are also more soothing tones that balance the palette to perfection, such as Crème de Pêche beige, Peach Pink, and Bluestone.

The great thing about this first tip is that it is easy to bring inside your home. You can add colors in small details such as a painting, a new decorative pillow, and a couple of candle holders, or in accent pieces like an armchair, a rug, or a cozy new sofa! You can find more tips on which furniture to use below.

Mid-Century Furniture

While furniture is not something we so easily change as decorative items, this time of the year might be a great time to start thinking about a home renewal. If this is the case, entertain the idea of choosing cozy pieces over aesthetics. In the long run, you will get more out of your comfortable armchair or sofa than if you’re choosing just a simple, cheaper solution just because it looks good now.

And because mid-century furniture will always look good and it comes as fairly easy to pair with other styles, consider this your best investment of the year. Go with more neutral tones that will be perfect for any time of the year, and mix them with decorative throws and pillows for the ultimate cozy experience.

Lighting

Lighting, as always, is key. A key aspect in interior design, lighting must never be overlooked. For a more complete Fall home decor add a few lighting fixtures around your living room or bedroom. This will create a more comfortable ambience and allow you to play with light at different times of the day.
