Who’s ready for February 24? We certainly can’t wait! The Oscar Nominations 2019 are out and it’s causing controversy, giving way to strong reactions, both good and bad. Either way, we’re excited to show you the nominees for one of the most promising award shows in the world: Oscars 2019.

Best Picture
Among all the nominees, there are fan favorites that we are sure will be on the hearts of many for the possible Best Picture award. Roma and Green Book, striking movies with a life lesson that has touched many hearts of viewers all over the world; A Star Is Born with a beautiful and creative story, and a stunning soundtrack that many can’t keep out of their heads; and Bohemian Rhapsody, the story of Queen and their leader, Freddie Mercury, with an incredible performance by Rami Malek. Who do you think will take the award home?

Best Director
Amongst the 5 nominees for best director, there are 3 that we just couldn’t pass by. Alfonso Cuaron, director of Roma, had to be on this list, as he created one of the most talked about films of the year. Other fan favorites include Spike Lee with BlacKkKlansman, and Yorgos Lanthimos with The Favourite.
Best Actress
Roma once again on the lead with Yalitza Aparicio, followed by Lady Gaga on A Star Is Born. Of course, we couldn’t forget Melissa McCarthy with her performance on Can You Ever Forgive Me?. It’s going to be a close call, as this is one of the most awaited categories of the night.
Best Actor
Rami Malek is one of the fan favorites for this category, with his incredible performance on Bohemian Raphsody, along with Bradley Cooper with A Star Is Born And Viggo Mortensen with Green Book.
Best Original Song
Black Panther seems to be on the verge to win several awards in this edition of Oscars 2019. With “All the Stars” by Mark Spears, Kendrick Lamar Duckworth and Anthony Tiffith, this movie is yet again on another category for the Oscars nominations. A Star is Born is on the run and it’s definitely a fan favorite with the song “Shallow” that is on everyone’s minds.

Best Animated Series
Isle of Dogs of Wes Anderson is one of the favourites, no doubt there, but Incredibles 2 stole the scene with an interval of ten years, an awaited movie that everyone adored. Mirai comes as no surprise by the same director of “Wolf Children”, Mamoru Hosoda.
