September in London is all about London Design Festival! In practical terms that means there will be a wide array of design-related events that you obviously can’t miss. We have told you about 100% Design before. However, that is not the only event you will be able to attend from the 16th until the 24th of September… So, here is a list of the best events in London happening less than a month away! Don’t miss a single beat.

“London Design Festival celebrates and promotes London as the design capital of the world. Now in its fifteenth year, the Festival will be returning to venues and institutions across the city between the 16-24 September 2017.”
Decorex International 2017
Decorex, which is probably “the UK’s leading destination for interior design” will take place in the upcoming month of September in Syon Park and it will be the opening destination of the London Design Festival. With more than 400 exhibitors from all over the world, the interior design show will be the right place to be if you are looking to buy or just feel inspired by bespoke interior design.
Villa Walala by Camille Walala
It is in the heart of London that textile designer Camille Walala decided to set up her installation for everyone to admire during the London Design Festival. Having worked with names such as Nike and Armani to Nintendo and Facebook, the designer is now showcasing her colorful piece named Villa Walala in London! “Constructed from vinyl, sealed PVC inner, and high-strength nylon, it is a ‘soft-textured building-block castle’ covered and colored with digitally printed patterns.”
The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains
If you are not only an interior design lover but music has also always made you happy, then don’t miss the opportunity to visit this Pink Floyd exhibition. Open from 10am to 5,45pm, this ticketed event will surely be worth the visit! “Presented by Pink Floyd, the V&A and Iconic Entertainment Studios Sound Experience by Sennheiser.”
designjunction
“designjunction presents more than 200 world-class international brands and smaller cutting-edge design labels to an audience of design professionals.” What does this mean? It means that if you are in London during the second and third weeks of September and just so happen to be an interior design professional, you have to meet at designjunction, in King’s Cross!
Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion
There is no way you don’t fancy the stunning designs by the bespoke fashion house, and this is an incredible chance to understand it up close. According to the London Design Festival, “this exhibition examines the work and legacy of influential Spanish couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga, with over 100 pieces crafted by ‘the master’ of couture, his protégées and contemporary fashion designers working in the same innovative tradition.”
Reflection Room by Flynn Talbot
The designer explained on London Design Festival’s website the idea behind this unique installation: “I conceived the idea standing in the gallery, and wanted to add my story on top of the beautiful existing architecture but not to take it over. With all of my work, I want to create new experiences using light that build a connection between people and place.” Definitely a must-see event during the nine days of the Festival! You can see it in the Prince Consort Gallery.
100% Design
Going on its 22nd year, 100% Design will be returning to “one of London’s most inspiring venues: Olympia London“. If you are an architect, interior designer, retailer or even developer this is definitely the right place for you to visit during the London Design Festival. Covet London: Open House
Covet Group’s alternative showroom will also be celebrating design with an Open House party during the days of London Design Festival.
