Every year, Architectural Digest selects their favorite 100, and this time we had a hard time choosing our absolute favorites!

Their main goal? “To bring a human-centered approach to the designing of space.” What this exceptional team of architects does best is to modernity with warmth and some of the classic details we can’t help but love.

Bjarke Ingels Group, which was first established in 2005, has since been developing “a reputation for designing buildings that are as programmatically and technically innovative as they are cost and resource conscious.” This is just another one of the million reasons we could find for their name to appear on AD’s 100 list once again.

One of our favorite interior designers, it comes as no surprise that Kelly Wearstler made the 2018 AD100 list again. A huge name in the modern interior design scene, the American designer is amongst the best interior designers on the planet, having worked with Lee Jofa for several collections of wall coverings, fabrics, and trims. What’s next? A fresh outdoor fabric collection with Lee Jofa

debutant in AD100 list, Nate Berkus Associates make the difference by creating interiors that mirror who their clients are. The designer and his team believe that a home interior should reflect what a person or a whole family loves the most, creating spaces where they will feel comfortable and in their element. The interior designer also believes that there should be no barriers as to what makes a great interior design, so he continuously works with brands such as Target or the Shade Store, at the same time he commissions for personalities such as Ricky Martin, Karlie Kloss, and Charlize Theron.

I’ve always believed your home should tell your story,” Nate Berkus said.

Mostly known for their signature of rugged meets refined modernism, Olson Kundig are on the mission to unify architecture and the landscape that surrounds it.

A New York-based firm that never ceases to amaze us, SheltonMindel‘s team are guided by a simple credo: “strive to create what seems to be inevitable.” Founded in 1978 by partners Peter L. Shelton & Lee F. Mindel, the interior design firm keeps on working under the same ideals that first made it great! Lee F. Mindel keeps on leading the team, as well as performing all architectural services that are commissioned to the studio.

Apart from being featured in AD’s 100 list for the first time, AL_A’s RIBA Stirling Prize-winning founder Amanda Levete is having a great year! In 2017, the architecture firm had the opportunity to create a new structure that would be an extension of Lisbon’s MAAT museum. The top AD architect firm designed a wavelike extension, clad in creamy tile, that overlooks the Tagus River and couldn’t be a better fit to MAAT’s architectural design.
